unless they plan on hiring more line workers or keep up with maintenance of tree growth sitting over power lines that wait to fall and cut power during the next storm, they're undeserving of a rate increase when wholesale prices on both electricity and natural gas are at their lowest in years.

some maintenance operations are clearly being neglected and thus the funds relegated to those types of tasks are being pocketed. besides, with no increase in services, why do they need an 8% increase... especially during a time where our country's been experiencing annual economic deflation?
