I can't tell you much about Novell. What I do know is that they helped some open-source projects by adopting and so, supporting their development. They also bought SUSE Linux distro and made it the most popular linux distro (except Ubuntu, of course). But they are alos very "popular" because off the agreement made with Microsoft. Thy were almost ban to sell Linux because of this agreement.

I agree with you on that. I'm too using a desktop client (Liferea). But we have to admit that Google Reader and Bloglines are the most used and popular RSS readers. That's way they are on the top of the list. I've used BlogBridge only for a few minutes. I prefer Liferea for it's simplicity.
