Actually have a friend who works on the show and I STILL can't bring myself to watch it (my friendship support has to be relegated to hugs at church).

Also like to put my two cents in for another Walter Matthau gritty gem from that era: Charley Varrick, directed by Don Siegel and scored by Lalo Schifrin (both of Dirty Harry fame). AWESOME.

It is the most testosterone-pumping score I've ever heard!

That "black girl" (how racist and sexist of you) was a lieutenant. Show some respect.

And stop saying what "conservatives would" do. You sound like someone who would say "black girl."

Don't try to reason with the unreasonable.

Talk about a forgotten film. And a good one! I sure miss the 70s! They did grit right.

Mine too. I think it was the first re-release (like 1965 or so; and yes, I'm that old). I was wowed!

I wonder how many people realize (thought it's obvious) that the whole movie is built around the title (though not the intent) of the Babes in Arms song, "The Lady is a Tramp" (1937 Rodgers and Hart).

What kind of family film could be made from one of today's hit songs, like "Baby Got Back"?

Of course. Otherwise what she says would be the words of a blithering idiot. Oh wait...

""The mantra of the Republican party is, do no work, help no one, take away the highest essence of all religious faith, love and charity""

Hi, I'm Jackson Lee. I say foul, untrue things about people I hate and then watch them squirm trying to defend against what I say. Ed Schultz does the same thing. He's my squeeze.
