DocumentSnap : Your Votes: Best Online Document Storage Solution?

What makes this even cooler is that you can access those files on your iPhone. Beyond the PDFs that my ScanSnap creates, I can actually run stored videos on my iPhone, etc. Pretty powerful little addition to my arsenal of data.

Pogoplug with a usb hard drive works well, and keeps the data on a drive that you control. What I found really useful with pogoplug was the ability to grant varying degrees of access at the folder level, so you can restrict who can see what. Plus, there is a nice web interface, in addition to the ability to mount a pogoplug drive as a network drive from anywhere on the internet. The initial cost is high, but you don't pay anything after buying the device and attaching a usb drive.

Thought Stream: Nitin Badjatia's Weblog : Rethinking target markets

You've got a point, the low investment, quick return angle is definitely there. One other advantage of chasing this market is that much what makes for success in North American SMBs can be replicated in developing markets like those of Latin America and Asia. I know in India, for instance, small businesses are well positioned to leapfrog bulky on premise solutions and use technology built on a cloud backbone.

Hi Scott,

I think they are closing in on a Windows version, but as far as I can tell it's not available yet. From what I hear, it may be entering a private alpha sometime soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

- Nitin

Feld Thoughts : iPhone and Tasks

This is the same combination that I finally settled on. Remember the Milk's integration with Gmail (via Firefox Addon) makes it even more powerful for those of us who use Gmail. I'm not sure if you're already using it, but you can also tie Jott (www.jott.com) into the mix and then you'll be able to send yourself tasks via voice dication. This is a huge plus when I can't get around to typing something I remembered into my iPhone...usually because I'm driving. Jott's Remember the Milk integration works wonders too!

Feld Thoughts : The Irrelevance of Silicon Valley Envy

It's funny, we get the same meme running through conversations here in Pittsburgh. We're lucky to have a vibrant tech scene in a wide array of fields, software, hardware, clean-tech, robotics, but people keep obsessing about Silicon Valley. As a very frequent visitor to Silicon Valley, I love the place, but it does have drawbacks. I think Guy Kawasaki had a great post a while back about getting beyond the obsession: http://blog.guykawasaki.com/2006/06/how_to_kick_s... Boulder seems like a great place to operate from; I've love to check it out someday.
