I hear ya'. I walked in and was certainly impressed with the rotunda, but definitely didn't feel this was my home as a Mets fan.

It is a beautiful stadium with lots of fun things to explore, and I really hope it becomes "ours" sometime soon.

It is never too early to start resting Castillo. The guy has been hot, no doubt about it, but those new magic legs need to get through the entire season.

Church, I don't get, but Castillo, if we can extend him the entire season then I think we'll all be quite happy in the end.

Fair enough. Although the thing to watch will be whether we sweep the teams like the Giants and Nationals when we get the chance. If so, we'll be fine. Sweep the easy teams, go .500 against the tougher ones, and we'll be in great shape.

Church, despite that error, is definitely doing his job at the plate. And Castillo is getting on base more than anyone could ask for, really. But yeah, Delgado is definitely the standout so far. Just want to give props where due in the lineup.

I agree that the Mets definitely could have (should have?) taken this series.

But the Padres were not a team struggling terribly -- they had won four in a row before coming to Citi, right?

Hopefully Maine gets a kick out of Ollie's good start and feels even more motivated to get a solid win of his own. Would be great if the entire pitching staff started feeding off of each other.
