Hey, Brenda, I saw your comment on SCL about depression. I just wanted to say I can relate, and encourage you. I'm so glad you've seen a counselor...too many Christians who deal with depression don't pursue counseling! Know you're not alone.

Hey, Chad! One American friend who lives in German said he went to Amsterdam and realized Dutch "is basically badly spelled German." I lived in Germany for a bit in high school and studied it in college, which has made learning Dutch easier. Dutch, German, and English are all Germanic languages (though German and Dutch are still closer, as English has been Latinized and influenced by many other languages as well).
