Wow! Charging people more, raising taxes and fines on businesses would reduce the deficit!? I think everyone knows that. Does anyone believe that this money would not be wasted on something else? Not I. This whole thing is such a joke. Better shove it through now while the weather is warm and people have forgotten about shoveling snow this last winter just like they will this coming winter. The worst.

heh heh...I used to be a long haired metal guy myself :) 5150 is cuz I'm a VH fan not cuz I'm crazy :) I do have a promising job interview coming up next week. But I am in the situation that pabow was talking about. I have had a good job for the past 12 years, then all of the sudden.........Nothing. I always say I am too big to fail, and I will get by. But I just want everyone to know that not everyone is just waiting for their free cheese at the mailbox :) in fact most of us here in mi. are just praying for something to happen. When that GM plant laid off, it really threw a lot of people into the ring to fight for jobs. Ah well, we will thrive again. See you guys in November :) Thanks for listening.

I hate to say this, but here goes anyway......

Anyone that knows me knows that I have been against just about everything the gov. has done since the very first bail out. Cash for clunkers, bailouts, stimulus, health care bill, and the coming cap and tax, all failures. Here is the big BUT.....I am one of the people that is over my limit in the area of unemployment. I have worked my butt off all of my life and never drawn unemployment for more that a month in my life. I have now been laid off from the non union plant that I work at and they are looking like they are closer to closing their doors than calling anyone back.

I have a Mortgage and a family to support with no work at all in my area (that will meet my financial needs) I live in mid michigan and am actually toying with the idea of looking for work out in the gulf or something. I appreciate that small businesses are hurting and everything, but do me a favor and try not to make me feel like a loser for collecting unemployment. Yes I realize that I have the internet and stuff, I never said I was on the verge of being homeless. But I may NEED this bill to pass to continue to keep paying my house off. It would not be hard for any of you to check the help wanted ads in mid michigan and if you see something in there that I did not apply for, feel free to tell me about it :) Thanks.....sorry for the whining, just wanted to give you another point of view.

hmmm...do not confuse common sense with weakness ricardo. If you think raking a dead man over the coals is going to help win this 'war' then have at it. But don't try to make me out to be some sort of girly man because I know how it is actually won. If you think that them playing little clips and showing little comments on the daily show does not turn people away. You are very wrong friend. I watch the news so I know what the other side is saying, it makes it easier to win arguments that way. Oh, and don't call me nancy...you don't know me and have no idea what I do or what I am like. But I am on the same side as you. :)

Yes, but I agree with cooldaddy. It not only seems a little low but also gives the left more ammo to make the right seem more like the rabid, insane and heartless maniacs they try to paint us as. O.k. liberals. This seems like it could be a little serious huh? Now you tell me, what do we do now. Lets assume that we already went in front of every podium and went onto every blog and comment section we could find and blamed Bush already and that didn't work. What would you do? This is what a President is for. Personally, I'm thinking that nothing is going to happen but lets assume something is....what should we do? Wait until it does THEN go into the blogs and blame Bush more?

Sorta like the quiet in the house of an abusive father. It's not that the kids and wife are so happy and well behaved, its just that they don't want to face what would happen if they dared to make a sound. (man, it's kind of early in the morning for that kind of talk)
