My first thought on the topmost one was that it felt like a environmental continuation of your digital collage with the elk: http://www.sara-cannon.com/2010/03/new-work-the-n... I *really* like "The Nature of Analysis" - wish I could have a print!

TechCrunch : Wired City: Josh Harris' Plan To Make Us All Live In Public (Video)

Your title states that he plans to force this onto everyone, "Us All." In the video, he agrees that he wants to scale so that "anybody" can live in public. "Anybody," as opposed to "Us All," right? That's kind of a biggie because your title implies that he's much more of a whack-job than he really is.

Was it cut, or implied somewhere in the video? The closest I heard was you asking, 'So you now want to scale this out so that anybody can live in public?' A quote would be awesome.

Digital Marketing : 7 things to think about before jumping in

We truly love WordPress, and the plugin has been my baby of the last 2-3 years. I've been striving for perfection before version 1.0 hits. Re: tracking tool, absolutely. The one I used to find this thread is http://www.backtype.com/ - love it.

Hi Ken, Believe it or not I left a lengthy reply to this yesterday, but I'm sad to see that it was eaten -- not even a trace of it today. Short summary: - History scanning is used only to help increase sharing activity by showing first the services people actually use; the widget only checks a predetermined set of service links; this info. is not sent to AddToAny - Google Bookmarks example - really great point; internally we give more value to sharing services vs. bookmarking; we release and improve constantly based on usage data; external improvements are always underway - AddToAny profile for saving widget designs/settings is very interesting; will consider what we can do here to make life easier - Jamey Boje is awesome - Thank you very much for the kind words, and very awesome feedback! Stay in touch!

Hi Nitin, Pat from AddToAny. Sorry about the attribution mix-up with this post. In the next release you'll be able to customize the plugin to use your own Twitter handle for attribution. Get in touch (email pat at addtoany) and I'll walk you through it. As always, your readers will be directly routed to Twitter without the widget prompting for their username / password (which many forgo on other plugins). Again, sorry for the fuss. Cheers, Pat

Personally I'm not that fond of the Subscribe menu itself, but I'd still love to offer the feed link to the blog post's comments. Perhaps deactivating the "Subscribe menu" should deactivate the menu itself while leaving the feed icon be?

AddToAny Blog : Guest Post: Location, Location, Location - How to Maximize Viral Traffic From AddToAny

The reason we don't offer an automated bookmarking function in Firefox is because there is no official method to do so. If you try one of the current 'hacks' out there, you'll notice that the bookmark defaults to loading in the Firefox sidebar, which is absolutely not what the user wants.

AddToAny Blog : Guest Post: Location, Location, Location - How to Maximize Viral Traffic From AddToAny

You received 25% more clicks with the 171 x 16px button (with the icons) than a button without the icons? That's awesome, thanks for sharing your results. Button customization is another great way to optimize beyond the default (171 x 16px) button, which we often update to include the most popular sharing services. For the default button we've found that familiar service icons are an excellent queue to users, indicating the type of functionality the button provides, and thus increasing sharing activity on the social web. Regarding button choice, be sure to check out others' creations: http://www.flickr.com/groups/addtoany_buttons/poo... - you'll see that some publishers favor a customized button featuring the service icons that their visitors should be most familiar with, which is another great strategy.
