I've been battling with these "ideological purists" since the ill-fated Christine O'Donnell candidacy. friends of mine who I respect actually told me there was nothing wrong with her, it was all Karl Rove's fault. <sigh>

America is waaaaay to the right of Barack Obama. but it's also pretty far to the left of Rick Santorum. but conservative values are going to have exactly zero chance of implementation if Obama is reelected. with Romney, at least we have a shot at winning.

as I like to say, at least RINOs are going to vote Republican SOME of the time.

you are absolutely right. I see the other Republicans trying to destroy the man they HAVE to know is going to be the eventual nominee. why are they doing that? I foresee Newt continuing to badmouth Mitt even after he (belatedly) gets out of the race.

this is good news. I hope that when Newt finally stops running he also stops running his mouth dissing Romney. but I wouldn't put it past him to continue to tweet snippy things. in a normal election year, an also-ran wouldn't be listened to after the convention, but in this case, with the Obamamedia pulling out all the stops for their man, I can see Newt continuing to be very bad for the GOP's chances.
