This is utterly annoying. If all Apple gadgets are chained to iTunes, the least Apple should do is make sure it works. I haven't updated my iPhone for weeks now because there is no way -not that I know at least- to load my music on it. I would probably be death by the end of the uploading process. Apple I'm a big fan of yours, but sometimes you just disappoint me.

BTW, isn't Snowbreeze a sort of Pwnagetool for windows? I've read that it also allows for BB preservation, right? is it reliable? thanks

Hi there, yes I can actually borrow one from one cousin, that shouldn't be a problem. What bothers me is that if I need to rejailbreak for some reason I'm gonna be stuck unless I don't go and borrow it again. But yes, I could sort of arrange that... Thanks for your replay. As for Apple shop, hehe, that could be a little weird but sounds funny :) marc

Right, got it. I prefer to keep away from downloading custom firmwares and only I person I know has a Mac computer so I'm rather stuck. Mshili, I appreciate your offering but I guess I'm going to wait until pawnage tool is backported to windows (is there any chance at all?) Thanks to everyone from a miserable windows user :(

Goto check iClarified I guess :) Maybe it is extreamely easy but I just got stuck man... Marc

Hello, I would appreciate you guys clarifying something for me as I got rather confused with snow breeze, red snow, blackra1n.... I got an iphone 3G with firmware 3.0 and BB 04.26 but it starts to behave odd: slow, apps continously crash, etc The phone is jailbroken and unlocked with ultrasn0w. I want to upgrade my firmware to the latest version but keep my current BB (I've seen lots of warnings regarding sticking to 04.26 if possible...). As far as I understood the existing applications out there, if I don't want to use blackra1n, then my only way is to use Pawnage Tool but for that I need a Mac right? In short: how do I upgrade my fw keeping my current BB if I don't own a Mac computer (I truly wish I ddi though). I've also read that I should not simply upgrade but restore?? is that right? Thansk in advance to everyone, Marc

Hello there, I hope to get an answer here as I'm finding contradictory information in the Net. I own a PC but I'm considering moving onto a Mac in the long term. We also have a Kubuntu that I use now and then when need to access some servers... my question is, which one should I purchase if I'm already planning a Mac migration??!!! I would like to have a scanner that could work currently with my environment (windows and kubuntu but I could do only with windows) but I would like to make sure I keep functionalities when I finally move on. Help would be very much appreciated. I almost ordered the S1500M but stumbled upon this site... Not a big deal having to purchase separate software when I finally move over to Mac. Thanks in advance,
