HI ARCHER i found shamo very up and down i wont say much from risk of ruining the plot for you, but its definately worth reading through. though some volumes are great, sometimes the main character/story seem to almost take a step backwards...

maxi - i forgot to reply to your post! was busy last night. ha, well. if i get REALLY bored on my day off tommorow. maybe i will go to Haworth and take some pics. i doubt it though n__n i havent read it thoroughly enough to do a guide to the locations. maybe if i read it through, i will see what i can find for you. ;) Alucard - yah. the comments have been great. thanks everyone its OUR project which is way it got its own post.

i dont see it as "stolen" if its not available in english, and if the groups is not making a profit from it. as we would otherwise not be able to read it at all...

groups charging money for their releases is bad for the community and pretty risky for the group.
but fair play, and all credit to wildfang. they've certainly got spirit :) and i dont suppose theyre making any money, they say they just pay their translators...

there is a grey area in law surrounding online scanlation. which is why a lot of groups drop projects once they are licensed.

i sometimes think that we probably shouldnt post complete and licensed manga. ........

also - does anyone know of scanlation teams going "legit" ?

ah yeah i remember now. i recall being annoyed about the last shamo volume..... i think you cant get the releases unless you pay or something. if thats right, its ridiculous. il check it out at some point today. think they used to release on nyaatorrents.... but those kinda sites are blocked on my conn today... :( really want baki scarface gaiden and garouden :(

k so here is the update after Mrs Stowner died, Emma moved from London to Haworth, Yorkshire, (says so in the manga) which is about 30miles from my house. But on wikipedia, it says they move to York, which is where i work .... strange mix up. i assume they misinterpreted York and Yorkshire ... though its pretty clear when you see it in the manga, there's even a map! so, unfortunately i was wrong before :( another note, Emma was born in Scarborough, which is a place i have visited often along with many other people in this area, when it is sunny! i should find time to read this properly, it seems pretty beautiful

woah so i just read vol 4 of Emma, trying to find stuff i mentioned before. ( i did get somewhere, update later) but - its great! when Emma went to the party and saw William, who had just proposed to another woman! whew. god. then the scenes afterward. very well exectuted Mori. im not usually into romance manga, though my recent crying at my friends wedding may have opened the floodgates! lolz
