Just listened to your excellent “Career Setback…” interview with UofC; it got me thinking about a grand concept I’ve been developing over the years which I call ‘Online Human Capital’. On day 1 of graduate school (also UofC) our Dean spoke at great lengths about the power of ‘networks’….this was well before the online networks of today’s time (Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn) ….and more about the people you chose to email, call or meet over the years….the people in your network one node away. Since then, I’ve become obsessed with the power of online nodal relationships; and how to organize and extrapolate from them in order to produce ‘Human Capital’ opportunities. In this pursuit, I’ve spent several years as an executive bringing web2.0 startups to life…and now after learning what you’re doing at World 50 I felt compelled to reach out directly to see if there might be a professional opportunity for me to work with such an exciting engine! This blog seemed the most appropriate place to reach you….given the title of ‘potentialist’ which is exactly how I would describe myself and this inquiry :)
