My daughter's "other dad" has a best friend who runs the high school auto shop class down in Naples, Florida. She has her vintage '83 flat front (as in pre OJ front) F150 worked on there on a regular basis. Those dudes love it as there is a limited amount of, if any, computers on it. Just good ole wrenching. If there were a local class here, both my Indian... the Comanche... and "The Charles Barrett Special" Commando would be going there on a regular basis.

Finally, if any of my fellow Hoons come across a 2WD Willys with a column shifter at a reasonable price, take note. Those DJ3A's were the basis of a "Surrey" (google image them) back in the day and are worth a few bucks these days.

First off, this olelongrooffan must thank fellow car guy, TomK with the link he provided me to this awesome site. Yeah, this is him with his first car, he bought with his own money, back in the day. As is to be expected, he, to this day, wonders why he sold it.

Second, I too have lost many otherwise productive hours exploring this site and enjoy the hell of it, as well as plan59.com. That site rocks...not as much as Hooniverse...but it does.

IMHO, this is one of the cooler vehicles, among many, many cool ones, you have posted Antti. Snow, ice, rust and wrinkles just add to the character of it. Thanks.

Welcome aboard new Dad...congrats on both the young'un and admission to the world that is Hooniverse. Ironically, Urban Planning with a transportation planning emphasis was the degree this olelongrooffan earned many moons ago at a then small university up in the Ozarks.
