I suppose too, that we, our generation that is, are more likely to look up new, "huh," kind of information since we can find it so quickly. Why would we waste valuable time searching through countless reference books or encyclopedias to find one quick fact. Google opens the door for us to find the answers quickly, retain the information if it is of value, and look further into it if it is of true interest. Thus, this allows us to think deeply about things we are really interested in, no matter the length of the attention span.

To Jon: First of all, you forgot to mention that the one you are dating knows it THE BEST and is driven CRAZY by it!! Second, um, Jon, your statement that you are "overly concerned with efficiency" us a total understatement... Perhaps you should get back to your todolister site!

To everyone else: Listen to the boy. He does know what he's talking about.... You should try it some time. (And if you really like the feeling of crossing things off then you should itemize each task (probably more than necessary) so there are more to cross off along the way!!

Jon, while these things are all true, since I have heard you talk about them many, many times, you forgot something: have fun too! There is always a little time for play after a long day of work!
