I like the "how much have you spent online in the last year", and the highest range was "$1000 or more". I buy nearly everything I can on the internet. I didn't do the math but I'm pretty sure it easily comes out to several thousand a year. Not like I'm rolling in dough or anything, just that when you avoid stores that aren't the grocery store, you rack up a lot of online spending.

I can second the vouch for The Big Bang Theory. The geeky humor is surprisingly well done. They must have some true super-geeks on the writing staff. I almost didn't watch the show because I thought it was going to be a bunch of really bad and outdated "make fun of nerds" jokes. But it's more like a bunch of really good "laugh with the nerds" jokes that are very current. Plus, there's a super hot blonde girl that is rarely appropriately dressed.

Funny, the writer's strike actually helped this show for me. If you'll recall, the show didn't start until January or February. By that time, nearly everything else had run out of new episodes. If there had been other stuff to watch I probably wouldn't have started watching this show.

I thought it might be JavaScript doing something funny, but the problem is still there in IE after disabling JS. some thoughts: you're using the FF3 rounded border CSS rules, not sure how IE6 reacts when it hits a property it doesn't understand. Maybe you should try moving those CSS rules to the end of the blocks they're in. (i could be totally wrong on this). also, you're using  in your CSS, when you should use /* CSS comments */ instead. that could be messing up IE's CSS parser somehow.

Oh. something strange is happening. if i use "Edit CSS" in web developer toolbar in Firefox, something similar happens (but this time all the background is the lighter-gray #555 used for the page background). I know IE 6 has problems with CSS that has descendant selectors (i.e. ".post > abbr" or something), but i don't see any of those in your CSS.

Not sure why that happens but I think you can fix it by adding this to your CSS: .post { background: white; }

This is pretty cool... it'd make a good gift for a geek too! You don't keep any rights to the avatar do you? Like, is the buyer free to modify the picture however they want, and put it on anything they want? Even if it is for commercial purposes? (I can't think of any commercial purpose now but I'm sure could be one...)

Do you watch Myth Busters? They did half an episodes of skydiving myths, just from one scene of that movie. The tested: can you talk to someone while skydiving (no, too much noise); can you catch up with another skydiver who has a 15-second head start (possibly, if you started high enough, but it would be very very difficult); can you free-fall for 90 seconds jumping from a plane at only 5000ft (no, there is nowhere near that much time).

Maybe I'll try 30 Rock again. I watched the first 4 episodes and couldn't take it. Mainly because I hate Alec Baldwin. I thought Tracy Morgan's character was the best part of the show though, at least those first few episodes.

I'm not sure if this is 100% accurate, but I read that part of the reason for Studio 60's cancellation is that they had too many big names, so it would have needed astronomical ratings to even be profitable.
