We love TWW at our house too. Burn Notice is also a favorite, especially with the junior partner. And we all agree that Leverage is right up there in terms of being enjoyable entertainment. The Bank Job just might be the best episode yet.

Amazingly, I slept through most of the worst of it. Small person reported something like thunder that woke the dog. Missed whatever that was too. By 4am, things were back to normal!

Sounds like I shouldn't really be holding my breath for delivery by tomorrow as promised, especially since all tracking on my packages stopped on the 26th. Have to admit a certain amount of curiosity, though, for how one package shows as having made it to Redmond and then all the way to Tumwater instead of being delivered to Bellevue while another package was actually delivered here that day. Hmmm. Worse, the agent I spoke with says they've stopped accepting any inbound messages. That's seriously in the weeds - too overwhelmed to even do any of the things that would make the situation better. I hope they get it figured out. We've been very patient and understanding here so far, but this is beginning to show signs of possibly slipping into the ridiculous. I hope it hasn't already and that they manage to keep it from getting that bad.

Finally got to see Slumdog Millionaire last night with Tall Person. Brutal at times, but fabulously done. Good call, Susan. I see why Telluride loved it. For me, the person who runs out of the room during the 'bad parts' of Disney movies, it was actually a good thing to have known a little bit what was coming. And I totally LOVED watching the credits - a mini mini-movie inside the movie!

Thank you, Scott, for the detail on what the models are showing this week. That <522 line really has been a pretty good Western Washington snow predictor for a long time but I have to admit to not keeping up very well with the biases of the newer models. With you're help, I'll have GFS figured o ut just in time for some other model to be developed!

The state doesn't have a claim on the safety deposit boxes per se... they just provide a central repository for information and protect the interests of the owners until they can be found. When it's money from an account, it's easier, but when it's physical 'stuff' from boxes, they can't hold onto that forever, hence the auction, turning the 'stuff' into cash. Sounds like a WONDERFUL trip - I'm so glad you posted photographs! I think it was about this time of year I was in Santiago before Matthew was born and I love the springtime view of the Andes rising up behind the city. I'm glad you had a great time and will be happy to be able to talk again!
