I would suggest not quoting the bible unless you know it because it can come back to bite you on your behind. What I'd suggest is bluntly asking them if they're aware they're calling you immoral (many are ignorant & have no idea that the 'fool' in Psalms 14:1 & Psalms 53:1 is not an idiot, but some one who is immoral). Or you could go with my first husband's response which was (in his snarkiest tone) "Learn that at church?".

I think you need to be open to the idea that, after speaking with someone in detail, that further engagement is a waste of time. I disagree. These people interpret anything but absolute silence as persecution. If we are to have standards, they should be based on reasonable ideas unconnected to their possible reactions. It should not be "we should do/not do this thing because they will cry wolf" but "we should do/not do this thing because [insert moral/ethical idea]". Anything else is giving them the upper hand.

Thank you for posting this video. I noticed a uptick in Christian appropriation of such language about a year ago when a legitimate Christian group declared a lack of patience for being proselytized by Christians to be an act of persecution.

I lived in Lucedale when I was a kid and our mother is buried there. One of my brother's ended up suing the police department after they held him for 18 months without charge.
