Dang!!!! It's one of the few shows I never miss. One of my favorite seasons was when he had the survivor like competition to replace his team. House is complex, always a jerk, but never a lovable jerk. I like that for some reason.

mmm mmm mmm Barack Hussein Obama. When I was a substitute I went to many different elementary schools. I was always amazed at some of the displays put up during black history month. Entertainers, athletes and Martin Luther King were most often included in the collages; I don't think I ever saw a picture of Condoleezza Rice, Frederick Douglass or the Tuskegee airmen, people truly inspiring. No, it was all Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and Bill Cosby. This was during the Bush Administration. Of course Obama should be included in any black history month presentation, but it shouldn't only be about him.

As it is stated in the book, Atticus was beaten before he even began. No black man of that time and place was going to get off after being accused of raping a white woman no matter how slim the evidence. Facts absolutely did not matter no matter how they were presented or if they were presented at all. The fact that he got the jury to stay out for as long as it did was in itself amazing.

Most companies don't fire you for "minor mistakes". Not saying it doesn't happen, it just isn't all that common. Luckily the feds have laws that are more in line to protect the workers now a days. Unions are rather out dated. If you want to give money to people who live lavishly by your Union dues, I don't have a problem with that. Just don't force other people to do it as well if they don't want to.

I remember being little and my dad and mom going to see the movie. It was a big deal to go out back than. They were all dressed up for it and I can still smell my moms make-up (cover-girl base) as she hugged me good-bye. My mom came home still crying her eyes out. Up to that point I'd never seen my mother cry so that's probably why I remember it. My dad seemed blasé about the whole thing. Dad probably had to down a few drinks when she made him take her to see it again. Same thing, she came home bawling. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said it was that generations Titanic. I finally saw Love Story for the first time in the 80's and thought it was ridiculous. My favorite part is when they decide to keep the illness from Jennifer. Who does that?? I thought the music was really annoying as well. Don't get me started on the acting!

I've watched Modern Family a time or two and like it a lot, not really sure why I don't watch it more often. Kids saying the f word amongst other things is a real world situation. One day my 4 year old daughter had been playing with some neighbor kids. She walked in and called her older sister a 'stupid whore". Lets just say I was taken aback. It had come from a boy she had been playing with. She had the foulest mouth and half the time we didn't know where it came from, but living on an Army post it wasn't unusual that she'd hear foul language.. At first I tried to get her to stop, I finally gave that up and just let her go and eventually she lost interest in the bad words once we stopped acting shocked.

LOL Hell, In 1998, the Dixie Chicks sold more CDs than all other country music groups combined and sold 6 million cd's in the United States alone. They sold out concert after concert. Ticket sales for their 2006 tour (TOURS are where a band makes their $$$$) were strong in Canada (surprise!) and in some Northeastern markets, but weak in other areas. A number of shows were canceled or relocated to smaller venues due to poor sales, and in Houston, Texas, tickets never even went on sale when local radio stations refused to accept advertising for the event. \\ Lets see, where are they now?? In March, Maines made a solo recording of the Beach Boys "God Only Knows" for the final episode of Big Love. They've toured with the Eagles because they can't attract enough interest for themselves. ANYONE but Obama 2012!!!!

You know, it is their money and if they want to spend it like that I don't really care. One thing I've always wondered about are the multiple baby showers these stars and entertainers have even for 2nd and 3rd babies (an etiquette no-no. My kids were 9 years apart and I didn't have a shower for the 2nd one. On military pay I could have used one!). It would be so much classier if they asked that donations were made in place of gifts.

My daughters were big twilight fans back when the books first came out. I have no interest in vampires, but they both insisted I read the books. The writing is terrible!!! Absolutely atrocious. One day can last for five chapters. The only book I got all the way through was the last one, Breaking Dawn. One thing that I liked is that Edward insisted on marriage. For whatever reason, he loves the whiny, klutzy, not very beautiful Bella. The movies are equally as bad as the books, and that is really saying something. We've always made fun of Stewart's acting, but my oldest daughter saw her in the Yellow Handkerchief and says she was a good actress in that movie. So maybe it's just the directors of the Twilight movies that insist on her acting like someone drugged. The only really good thing I can say about Stewart and whatshisname is that they have some serious chemistry on screen.

The districts are forced to watch their children compete and kill each other. It's dog eat dog with only one survivor. If the action gets boring or if the tributes are hiding to well, the Capital will send something to smoke them out into the open to make them face each other. What could be more terrifying than watching your child, your friend, or someone you see every day, hunted like a dog and fighting for their life all for the entertainment of the privileged people in the capital? A quick death would be kinder.

I honestly don't see what you're talking about. I loved the Hunger Games (the second book was so-so, the third was a disappointment). I thought the trailer seemed like it will do the book justice.
