Big Government : Global Warming, R. I. P.

However what "proves" the Earth is warming at NASA is the GISS historical temperature record, which is run by James Hansen, major warming alarmist who shows up prominently in the Climategate emails. Read the articles at good sites like Watt's Up With That, see how the historical records have been twisted and tortured into showing warming even when the raw data says there is no warming and possibly cooling, and wonder if the Earth has been warming at all. Phil Jones, the director at the University of East Anglia's Climactic Research Unit (UAE CRU) where the emails and programs came from, who "stepped down as director pending the results of the investigation," admitted there has been no statistically significant warming for 15 years now. Earth has liquid water, clouds, and many chemical and biological processes going on the other planets do not, which seem to have done a good job for a long time of keeping Earth in a temperature range where life can survive and even thrive.

Breitbart.com : Abortion compromise doesn't satisfy critics

By all means, why insert the ban on abortion funding in hard-to-change legislation, when you can instead have an executive order that can be revoked on a Presidential whim? All the same, right? Remember this before the elections, when Barry decides "due to overwhelming public opposition to this Executive Order..."

Article (emphasis added): "Including all unfunded liabilities, such as Medicare and Social Security, federal obligations have reached $106 trillion." Jim (emphasis added): "I failed to note in your article the current amount of US assets including land, industry, personal and corporate assets. It exceeds $152 trillion dollars. You bloggers need to stop harping on a national debt that represents less than 10% of our national assets." Must be some of that "new math" in the public schools these days. Now, when you say "US assets" and include personal and corporate, are you saying everything in the entire country owned by anyone adds up to $152 trillion? Thus more than 2/3 of everything is what the debt is up to? And that is not a problem?

So how shall proud America be brought down? Will all of these entitlements and political giveaways drag down our economy and grind it to nothing? Or will the world suddenly no longer want to buy US debt? China looks like it may bail on buying new debt and may start unloading the old, and there are many other "rich" countries in pretty bad shape. A sudden cascade of defaults and debt downgradings could happen, plunging the world into an economic depression, especially without a strong American economy anchoring the world markets. Can we wait to the 2010 elections? We've seen how this liberal Congress with this President, this three headed beast, is willing to screw up anything possible overnight and wreak as much havoc as possible to further their agenda. Could we even trust these liberals to do no more harm between losing the November 2010 election and bringing in the next Congress?

Big Government : SOLD: Sen. Nelson's Bribe

Joke's on them, if they're going to insist on limiting carbon emissions then the EPA is the best choice. No carbon trading, no shoveling cash into third-world pits of corruption. Just hard limits everyone has to comply with, no cheating, no "offsetting," as fair as it gets. And no money for Algore and cronies from the carbon credit trade. The companies selling this "green" technology will still do good business, they should keep quiet. Congress Critters can back off and avoid making an unpopular vote, any blame from any fallout drops on the administration's head. This also opens up legal challenges as the EPA will have to defend "the science" and justify that their proposed caps are not excessive within the scope of their goals. Good luck with that.

Love the WaPo write-up: Those costs would be more than covered by nearly $400 billion over the next decade in new taxes and nearly $500 billion spending reductions, primarily cuts to Medicare, the federal health program for people over 65. The remainder, about $132 billion over 10 years, would go to lowering the federal deficit. But the Congressional Budget Office found that the package could reduce budget deficits by as much as $1.3 trillion in the second decade, starting in 2019, a significant improvement in long-run savings compared with both the House bill and the measure Reid had previously crafted. In his blog, CBO director Douglas Elmendorf attributes the change to lower targets for Medicare spending after 2019. They would save so much money in the first decade they could lower the deficit? $132 billion over 10 years? Didn't Hillary just promise about that much liberal pocket change at Nopenhagen? We are to believe they will not use $132 billion of "found money" on further spending? And in the second decade we will reclaim over a trillion? Excuse me, but the baby boomers are retiring, Medicare is expected to take a big hit. How can there possibly be "lower targets for Medicare spending after 2019"? The Death Panels couldn't even work that fast. If you're over 65 and need to be hospitalized for anything, the "admission procedure" will include a massive dose of morphine...

"Days ahead of the summit, it gave the Environmental Protection Agency the authority to regulate carbon dioxide even if the Senate does not act. " Wait, I thought the EPA was merely complying with a court ruling from back during the Bush administration, and their "authority" was clearly found in the Clean Air Act. Is this an admission that Barry ordered the EPA action for political leverage against Congress? "You people do it, or we'll do it for you!" Chicago-style politics, now confirmed.
Tall skinny people with the noses, ears, and tails of lions, golden animal-like eyes (didn't the preliminary artwork have vertical slitted pupils?), living an idyllic jungle existence, flying high in the sky and being one with the earth... Is this a movie for furries? The human transformed into a half-animal being, exploring his true nature, reaching his true potential... Okay, so the practically-naked natives aren't furry, they have blue skin. With stripes.

And what should we read next after that passage? I didn't know what was happening, didn't run away and look for help, didn't know the psychological damage that had been done to me. Instead my mind resorted to that old defense mechanism where it tried to convince me that I had done nothing wrong, what had happened was normal. It was something I was meant to be doing. So I started seeking it out, let myself be sexually abused by these predatory strangers, because to my mind it was all normal, and it was me who wanted it to happen. Thankfully in time an adult noticed my behavior, realized I had been traumatized, and got me the counseling I desperately needed. I came to understand that was not my true sexual orientation, that I had been manipulated into it at an age when all my hormones would let me know is it was sex thus it felt good. Now I know these creatures are out there, looking to confuse immature children like I was into being their willing toys, to be callously used and discarded at their whim. They must be stopped. Instead, this is promoted as "proof" he was homosexual, was always homosexual, and ultimately there was nothing wrong with what happened to him, it was just his way of "coming out." "Not that there's anything wrong with that."
