Thing is, though, the folks who are the busiest don't ever ask for
help which for some dumb reason makes me think they aren't really so
busy. Ugggghhhhh! So silly! This is me not caring anymore.

Don't hear me say that my visit was "bad." And you have nothing to be sorry for. It's not about you and has nothing to do with you. I think that's what was such a shock to me, was that I forgot how much everyone makes everything their business and about them, when some things really have nothing to do with anyone. Our pastor once said something that really struck me, "Unless you are personally affected by a situation/person or are formally asked, you have no right to voice or even have an opinion."
People who spread bad news needlessly and/or gossip and/or stir up drama are like a virus. To go from a place where I'm often around people who can see God at work in their lives no matter what the circumstance, to an area where all people can focus on are their problems is exhausting. I wasn't prepared for that.
