There are three comments below that are really all one but wouldn't "fit." Sorry they are disjointed.

You see, the next "necessaries" on the assault upon our liberties were/are so aggregious, the GOP could not get away with putting them in. So they have their complicit alter ego, whose constituency is "liberal" take the exec. office to complete Bush's work called the Patriot Act, more aptly named the Traitor Act.
Bush started the assault on the Bill of Rights and dismantled the ones that could be "sold" as "security," and to the conservative base. In order to complete the rout, they needed a "liberal" figurehead to completely disband the rest, one whose base would not be disturbed.

I will make one note which will say this all, that BOTH parties are complicit in all the outrages, that is this last outrage, NDAA which completed the cancellation of the bill of rights, Posse Comitatus, Habeas Corpus, 4th and 5th Amendments. This was passed a few weeks ago by a CLEAR MAJORITY OF BOTH HOUSES.
If no other volley across our bow demonstrates that the GOP is as complicit in the takedown of our nation, this alone should do it.

I DO believe your mistrust is well placed. Did media choose BHO? You answered your own question by noting their lies of ommission. If you recall, as truth came out, they also buried it. Combine that with the GOP refusal to address the issues prior, at best they paid lip service, yes, media did what the machine told them.

BTW, there is only ONE candidate on record against the NDAA, all others defend it. That is Ron Paul. On this account alone, he should get everyone's vote.

That he is also pledged to get us out of the UN is another.

Every candidate up there is the machine candidate, the machine that voted for NDAA.

As for myself, I am neither suicidal nor suicidal for my nation. I will vote Ron Paul. Whether he gets the GOP nod, or not. He has a decades old voting record that is not only consisitently constitutional, has never voted to raise taxes, he is anathema to the machine.

We need the voice of opposition in DC.

Santorum is a closet liberal. His big gov't voting, his votes against the promises made to his constituents is what got him tossed as their Pa. Rep. years ago. He may have dusted off the old image and reconstituted a new "speech,:" but ask the good people of Pa. just how conservative he really is and how what he says during the campaign does not translate to what he does, in office.

I disagree. The DC machine owns the media, they control the media, who controls the media controls the message and with it, far too many minds. There is a great underground source of info on the net, if you look. You might not realize it but the machine of BOTH parties in DC certainly do, hense their insistence on SOPA.

There are loads of other reasons not to want Gingrich, it's all a matter of historic and voting record. Elect him? We should be talking about indicting him. For treason among other things. That's what the record dictates. Romney is ineligble, will the truthers remain consistent for a GOP candidate? The establishment candidates are worse than flawed they all promise business as usual in DC, big gov't., big spending, just different hands out and recipients. Regards his ex wife, have we not learned THAT lesson after Clinton? If someone has the moral vacuum that would allow him screw his wife then how well does that bode for their reluctance to screw us all? Honor, integrity, trust are all earned and all consistent. You can't be a saint in some areas and a dog in others. The dog rules and sooner or later, can not help but get out.

:-))) We in NJ grassroots are doing exactly that in 2011, sovereign state intitiative, organizing by town, we look to nullify illegal mandates illegal spending at town level and since all 120 legislators in state are on the ballot, right now recruiting w/an eye on getting a majority of advocates to restore constitutional law in this state. If we succeed, we will take back our rightful power to nullify illegal mandates and spending out of DC, impeach and toss "legislate from the bench judges.

Bachmann, the RINOs and Dems willbe marginalized right back into that little box called enumerated powers. I think you and I and we are on the same page.

For 200 years we operated in a true capitalist system and became the strongest, free-est nation in history. What is happening now is not captialist system.
I mentiond the CFR, an outlaw oganization dedicated to world governance and global economy, no borders. Please follow the link, a speech given by Richard Haass, their president and would likely been named McCains foreign adv. had he been elected, see what the CFR thinks of preserving our sovereign nation, in relation to the global governance they are fast installing.
