A couple notes /ideas:

-Checkout http://www.go2web20.net/ - they are “the complete directory of web 2.0 companies”

-All the companies should be taggable and users should be able to browse and search for companies based on tags.

-A potential revenue stream – have a list of featured start-ups / companies.

-I think it would be cool if each company profile could display their:

-twitter account

-the rss feed for their blog

-ability for users to comment on the company

-ability to add tags

-maybe we can even have a place where users can sign up for a beta invite or get updates from the company.

-a google map of where the company is located

-ability to rate the company
