I have to agree that that is certainly one aspect of hacking. BTW, I put in a bug report regarding the '+' character, and they were aware of the problem and are supposedly working to fix it. I'm not sure why it would take very long to do.

even if that is true(and it's not), breaking and entering is a different crime than murder. You really are an idiot if you can't tell the difference between two things. Also, hacking means something different in the jargon of the computer world, than it does in the vernacular. perhaps you should fucking learn about that.

I have to agree with you about competition being a good thing. Without the USSR pushing us, I doubt we would have gone to the moon so soon, or many of the other things we would have. There are other ways to foster competition, though, than having a nation vs. nation sort of thing. I think we're seeing some of that now in the private space flight sector. And there is the notion of competing against yourself. The other thing is that the space program especially had merits for completion beyond simply beating the russians. It's really unfortunate that those things get overlooked.

You spend so much time commenting and replying on here with people like ER, and myself, who, as you so eloquently put it, are 'hackers.' You should quit associating with hackers. You know of 'Guilt by association?" If you stick around you might find yourself guilty of crimes like curiosity, learning things, and independent thought.
