ER, I'm wounded! But seriously, I can't help it. I used to be a normal person until I subscribed to this blog. Ever since, I've been losing brain cells via osmosis. It's no surprise I eventually became an Apple Fanboy, considering.
Well, one of the great things about OS X is that it is based on BSD, but I get what you're saying ;). Development on Linux has a higher barrier of entry into programming than windows, unless you're using something like php to build web applications. If I want to jump into say, GTK+ development, though, it's more difficult, and there isn't as much information available compared to .NET development.
Of course, .NET development can be cross platform with Mono.
