In one way, you can not argue with Big Sam, we are after all, top of the league. Everyone I guess would not have picked the line up Big Sam picked. Now, you see why he picked that team. If he had dropped Fuabert, Reid, Cole or whoever else. What would that have done for the confidence of those dropped or team moral? They have all got the Ipswich game out of their systems and now we can move on and bring players into the team without any sour taste._In hindsight, Big Sam got the line up spot on. Not to sure I like the way we play most of the time, but I am still behind big Sam._I heard Sam say the other week before transfer day, '' I had to ship over 25 players out of the club since last season and brought about 15 in, to settle them in and be top two is great, great football will come next. Lets hope he does and I will be calling Big Sam a genius!
He had better be good to get away with a hair cut like that.
i like Winston mate, some on here are all to quick to slag players who they like to blame for every bad result. Winston this season has been great. Everyone of the team against Ipswich played a stinker, like today the all had a decent game.
Hi Tom, we have had our differences of opinions in the past but I agree with you on the line up today. When I heard the line up, I though WTF? What do I know though, we are top of the league and just beat Millwall, playing 86 minutes with 10 men. Big Sam, will always split opinion but one thing he does know, is how to get out of this league. I'am still looking forward to see the new signings but today its three more points and a good performance thrown in.

Have to agree with all the earlier posts. Not a great performance again but another three points. Back on track with the two point a game target. Southampton are marching on, can no-one beat them at home? Theres not much of a gap betreen us and the chasing pack so we need to keep winning and the next two games will be tough. I think Cole's knee is limiting him to 45 min appearances. I can't see any other reason why he is not starting games?
Thanks mate, great stuff. Pity I can't thing of away to mass publish this
I can see what you both saying and I was thinking on the same lines as you. Maybe if they are extending the roof the part over the track may be higher, and maybe the back row of seats may start where the front row of seats finish now? One thing for sure, I am not a design engineer and there are alot more questions then answers at this time. The biggest question mark now is we have not been handed the Olympic Stadium, so until we are, more answers won't be coming anytime soon.
Brady's comments are more then likely designed to dispel some of the fears fans have. I just hope they are realistic.
Good post Tony, no-one can say for sure what can or will happen with the Olympic Stadium deal. I have to give Sullivan and most of all Gold the benefit of the doubt. Gold does seem to care alot about the club and although there remain doubts about motives, at their ages, making more millions may not be on top of the agenda.
Brady said although it was not possible in stadiums like the old Wembley, design engineers now have solutions to put retractable seats right up to the pitch if required.
Interesting to read Karen Brady's comment in her weekly Sun diary. Talking about the Olympic Stadium and seating over the track. Answers my biggest question over the move, it is possible to have temporary stands over the track. That may help with most peoples fears of viewing distances and atmosphere for football.
