Although I typically stay away from any online discussions pertaining to either politics or religion, as this discussion is inherently about startups, investing and trust, I feel I need to chime in.

In my experience, the people decrying the immorality of infidelity the loudest have tended to be those who practiced it the most in hiding. IMHO this can be said of numerous people who tout themselves as moral leaders in the USA of late. This includes investors (God knows, as Bernie has proven beyond doubt).

That being said, I try to remain non-judgemental in general (except for grotesque breaches of human behavior) when it comes to these issues partly because I see no obvious correlation between a person's marital issues and his/her ability to achieve maximum return for investors/shareholders while giving back to the community and contributing to it.

In closing I'd like to point out that in my experience, lack of courage and/or vision (over marital standards ambiguity) is one of the few things that should disqualify a person from an investment standpoint more so than any subjective moral criteria. But that's just my opinion.
