The bullying began with the occupation of the Capitol by hoardes of whining, self-moralizing protestors. I'm sorry if you were treated poorly as a person, but after what your group put the rest of us through, the reaction is understandable, if not excusable. However, I'd like to welcome you to the democratic process. As you're no doubt learning, it's mean and messy. No place for the thin-skinned or whiners. And about that million signatures....we'll see.

Also, read more closely. I made no claims as to the content of the recall laws or the constitutional provision. However, the ambiguous language is challengeable in the courts, and the minute I pass the bar, I intend to mount that challenge, regardless of how this silly recall thing turns out. Oh, and my daughter, a one-time liberal, was recently converted to Scott Walker's team when she got her property tax bill, and it went down. I explained to her that if Scott Walker loses, it will not only go up, but soar so public union employees can have free breast implants. Guess how she took the news? Probably the same way as all those folks who signed the silly recall petition BEFORE they understood that they were about to have a lot more spending money thanks to Governor Walker.

The programs we now know as Affirmative Action are a direct result of the Resconstructionists poor foresight in crafting the 14th Amendment. The Amendment itself is absurd. It's an Amendment that was designed solely FOR blacks to prevent laws discriminating against them. It did nothingfto prevent laws in favor of blacks. Now, 150-years later, look what we're left with..

Here's the awful truth. The Court will allow these programs to stand in our universities as long as there is an inherent benefit in diversity, a premise which begs the question. Who says diversity has any inherent benefits? Let's face it. Neither the white nor the the black community can claim they are better off as a result of affirmative action legislation.

LOL. That's a good one. But seriously, don't give him any ideas.

Hi Ann,

He shouldn't be receiving taxpayer money because he doesn't need it. He's not poor. As for working hard and working his way up...are you serious? He may have worked hard as a Hollywood elitist, but he's not a farmer or rancher by anyone's stretch of the imagination. And since the President wants to control banks and industries that get government money, shouldn't he also move to control "farmers" who take it?

Isn't that something? Russians mourning the death of capitalism more than Americans. If you would have told me thirty years ago this day would come, I would have laughed at you and made you buy me a beer for being so silly. And yes, MD's blog is a wonderful resource. If anyone is interested, here's the link: http://thesurvivalistblog.blogspot.com/

What I find appalling is that the organic community isn't just outraged by this. As for Organic Valley, I'm disappointed in them. They want to cut everyone's pay base and ask us to cull more cows (we're down to 20). Wouldn't it be better to insist all Johne's cows go and then use it as a marketing strategy in the down economy? It would be a win-win situation, at least in my mind.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. Sometimes, it's like we're talking to a wall. It's wrong to knowingly put diseased milk in the tank, even if the government says it's okay.

I'm also an environmentalist. I tell people all the time that I was "green" way before the Gore and Moore show came on the scene. Here's what bothers me most about the whole global warming thing: it stops us from taking action to clean up the pollution. We spend far too much time arguing about the effects of our wasteful behavior, and precious little time actually doing something about it. Who cares if it's getting warmer or colder? Clean it up because it's nasty. Why do we need a political reason to act?

Sorry to hear you are having difficulty being creative. It's a common condition in people who allow others to think for them. Also, it's "Now, it's your turn" not "know."

I haven't called anyone any names. I simply want to have a discussion about ideas. I understand things could get heated and feelings could get hurt. Nevertheless, we need to have the conversation about what makes us different if we have any hope of holding our republic together.

BTW. I despised GW. But, I don't have what Charles Krauthammer calls "Bush Derangement Syndrome."
