The film is called 'John Rabe' and it is about the man John Rabe, a German businessman who had a factory in Nanking. He saved thousands by giving them a safe haven in the factory grounds. An American drifter did not save those people. There was an American involved but he was a doctor. Another reason to trust but verify anything that comes out of China or Hollywood.
