Jason Jeong : 2010 Catalyst Conference: Tension is Good

I can appreciate the passion in which you write and for taking the time to express your thoughts! And honestly, I totally agree with the content of your message, but just as you criticize the practices and methods of what Catalyst is doing, I criticize you in the same manner. I know the people behind Catalyst and they are united behind the simple fact of telling the world about Jesus and what He has done that people may believe in faith. They are prayerful people, reverent people, and people seeking to further the kingdom of God. We all are one body of many parts and have different roles to play. I say to you that Catalyst is a community of believers of Christ who desire Christ to be made known. I hope that you will come to rejoice more that the gospel is being furthered rather than criticize the method. You assume that the people of Catalyst are a certain way and you generalize the entire community. It would be no different to generalize the type of people who quote from the KJV Bible! Christians are certainly are to judge within the Church, but we must be careful it is not from a position of self-righteousness often made through assumptions and generalizations. I saw your website and you seem to be one who is full of encouragement and compassion for people and that is truly awesome. I hope that you continue to shine the light of Christ and continue encouraging people!

Amen to that!!! As Asians we do face tougher traditions regarding blood-lines and heritage, but these are traditions. I know that biological children and adopted children are no different and look forward to the day where I can testify that myself! Thanks for sharing!

I love what you said..."more knowledge is no good, unless we allow what we learned to change us." I am very happy to hear that God did His thing and redeemed your marriage! I am encouraged by your testimony and you have a story to tell so may God give you opportunities to do just that!

Hey Gina! Thank you for visiting and comment! You have to tell me about your journey through Hebrews! What did you experience? What were you going through at the time? What does that period of your life look like in hindsight? God has recently (few months ago) revealed a new found sense of spirituality in my life and are on a new journey of learning more about the soul and spirit rather than having more knowledge...

Hey Elaine! Yea, the COP kids were great...it was interesting to see the differences between the village kids and those orphanage kids...it's very unusual to see an orphanage with that much care and love! How's the fundraiser going? We are actually supporting the missionary that is working with the village kids!

yea, it's great to see more and more people go back to the basics of the Gospel and the expression thereof social justice must be a gospel expression, not just an expression against injustice
