The policy is that unless you're posting advertisements and being super obscene its fine. The automated monitoring system is unfortunately extremely skeptical of posters who don't have Intense Debate accounts and often puts them in the queue as suspicious even though they're totally fine, and a few times a day someone goes through and approves them.

I'm aware of the Israeli political leadership's argument for the Arabs as a "special case" of evil (and indeed virtually every nation in every war in the history of mankind's similar argument that their current enemy is a unique case), but since most of the recent Holocaust Day speeches have centered around civilian nuclear program in the non-Arab state of Iran, it seems totally irrelevant to the point.

Even the comments here reflect just what a hot-button issue this is, and what a dangerous one it could be for Israel if it becomes a part of the dialogue in US politics. When Israeli officials complain that some Hamas figure doesn't endorse the Israeli government's "right to exist as a Jewish state" we must inevitably come up with the number of people who don't even recognize the Palestinians as a real thing.

Ironically Boko Haram was far less of a threat when they got started because their distrust of Western education extended into full-on distrust of technology. They were fighting with bows and arrows and swords and rejecting anything more powerful on the grounds that they weren't available in Quranic times. After the summer 2009 crackdown on them, and the detention of their lightly wounded founder (who mysteriously "died of his injuries" shortly thereafter) the group seems to have gotten a lot more modern and a lot more dangerous.

The Israeli military already discussed the possibility of really massive protests and conceded that there's really nothing they COULD do to stop it. The response to non-violent resistance is always the same, try to provoke them into violence and use that as an excuse for even more violence. If that doesn't succeed, they lose.

Though Superman identifies it as such, we don't know for sure that it was real Kryptonite. It's been established for awhile that a few people have managed to create synthetic Kryptonite-like substances. Since one of them was former US President Lex Luthor it seems likely he would've ensured the military or CIA had some around just in case he needed to add Superman to the same targeted assassination list as Anwar al-Awlaki.
