The Wiire : Is it Time for Nintendo to Change Their Pack-in Games?

Next time you want to write a redundant "Nintendo is abandoning the hardcore!!" article, just be up front about it. You took a really convoluted and backward path to get there. "Is Wii Sports bringing in "casual" gamers more effectively than "core" gamers?" - Yes! That's the entire point. Wii Sports is supposed to get the console into the hands of people who would not normally buy it, and get people comfortable with motion controls. Core gamers are, by virtue of the fact that they're classified as "core", educated gamers. If Nintendo went and packed in Zelda instead, it's not like they would all of a sudden capture the attention of all the gamers who have ignored the Wii up until now. "Whoooooaaaa! There's a ZELDA game on Wii?!?! I had no idea! Take my money, Nintendo!!!" Also with Wiis STILL having a hard time staying on shelves, it is preposterous to say that Nintendo needs to add value to their system in order to sell it. Wiis are going to be scare this holiday season regardless of what Nintendo puts in the box alongside the console. Hell, they should replace Wii Sports with a dead rat, and it'd still probably sell. Let me guess, your next article will complain that the Wii doesn't output in HD, but you'll call the article "Is it Time for Nintendo to Pack Component Cables in with the System?"

Yes, but the three parties will need to work together to get anything done as opposed to a minority speaking for the majority.

The Barkman : The Future of Democracy

Technically, you can say that a coalition government more accurately represents what Canadian's voted for because: a) Those three parties have more seats than the conservatives alone, and b) a coalition government is more reflective of the popular vote. Harper's bullying of the house and attempts to run his minority government like a majority, and running to the governor general to get her to halt parliament so he can stall is much more an affront to what Canadians voted for. Canada did NOT vote for Stephan Harper to be PM. He was appointed to the position by virtue of the fact that he is the leader of more elected MPs than any of the other leaders. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=xe-DFZA6pR0

By letting on that reputation points are important to you, you've pretty much begged people to come into every thread and thumbs down you.
The Wiire : Cammie Dunaway: Nintendo Disappointed With E3

Everyone had already come to accept it was a crap E3 and moved on. Why Nintendo keeps bringing it up to remind us all is beyond me. Ya had nothing to show - you put together the best you had. It sucked. Redeem yourselves by showing us Pikmin 3 and sign on to be the publisher for The Conduit.

The Barkman : Priority Gaming.

So very true. It saddens me that I don't have the time to play through the long involved RPGs or deep tactical strategy games of my youth. Now-a-days, my idea of a good time is Lost Winds, Phoenix Wright, Castlevania, Mario - games I can pick up, get right into and put down within an hour while still having been entertained. Even Metroid Prime 3 was a struggle to get through despite it being an awesome game.

The Wiire : The Wiire Podcast 108

The laundry bag mysteriously disappeared... right around the same time I got my new Mini Cooper S. Of course, those things are totally unrelated. As for the discussion scope, I've always considered The Wiire's podcast an industry podcast from a Wii perspective. I've always found our audience to be pretty keen on the industry as a whole, and as long as we maintain our perspective, we're still doing our job as a Wii-centric site. We may roam into 360/PS3 territory quite heavily from time to time, but in general I personally find the discussion appropriate and relevant.
