I have played around with a few off-the shelf projects and tutorials before, and taken a brief look at Ruby code- read some bits and pieces with interest.
I think, I'll delve deeper with Ruby and might well settle into it by preference.

For those who have trouble at DFU stage, with a blank screen and no reboot: I found that if I turned off the power and rebooted it redsnow continued along with the jailbreak installations and activation, and strangely enough after redsnow quit, and had said 'finished ' Done', the process continued , feedback on the iphone screen, until all finished , and finished with an automatic reboot. Success!

Is this supposed to happen - unlock without redsnow? Upgraded to 3.0, and my phone works on vodaphone before applying redsnow and jailbreak or unlock. I don't understand, it shouldn't should it? I checked to see, if the upgrade was successful, and it is.
