do some homework and look at the quality of the all of the parts wether an iPod or iMac. if you ordered a pc with the same quality components as an iMac you would very easily be at a comparable price. the problem is you pc guys like to settle for the cheap and upgrade part after part, I know I am a recovering pc guy who finally got saved.

anyone could have, and in fact a few did and failed. WalMart and Microsoft both had a digital download service, WalMart stopped theirs and Microsoft's just never took the foothold that they hoped. Only Amazon's digital service currently gives iTunes competition.
as far as 'Apple did NOTHING novel or inventive' I disagree. although apple did not invent the mp3 or mp3 player they did however create product that was far better quality (fit and feel) than everyone else and also created a method to easily populate the player with music. like it or not the iPod changed everything as far as music s concerned.
