Big Government : Biggest Story of 2009: The Rise of the Virtual Newsroom

Thank God for Breitbart, Drudge, Fox and all of the other New Media. The big MSM-Denial scoops are really stacking up; Dan Rather-Gate; ACORN-Gate; Van Jones-Gate; Global Warming-Gate; Gladney Beatdown-Gate; MSM Denial-Gate. There are, and will be plenty more. I love to watch them all going down the drain. They're melting... (que Wicked Witch melting scene)

Big Government : Monday Open Thread: Churchill Edition

Another good Churchill book is "The Boer War". It is a compilation of 2 books that he wrote while serving as a war correspondent for the "Morning Post". Those 2 books were published in 1900 when Churchill was just 25 years old. He is an incredible wordsmith.

Big Government : What's It All About, Albert?

Unions killed the U.S. auto industry just as they killed the U.S. steel industry. All of the billion$ for the GM and Chrysler bailouts went to union pensions and legacy healthcare. I've had it with the unions. My next vehicle will be made by non-union Texans who build Toyotas about 70 miles away from my home. The UAW will not get another nickel from me.

Big Hollywood : Stand Up Notes From Flyover Country: Boycotting the NFL

College ball is so much better that the National Fieldgoal League. I will schedule my Saturday around top 10 college match-ups but I only watch NFL when I don't have something better to do. I won't be able to get excited about the NFL until they adopt a college style OT. Last time I checked, the NFL team that wins the OT coin toss is the team that wins (usually by a field goal) over 80% of the time. YAWNNN
