We can't DM to @WeGotServed unless that twitter account is following us?!

I used the "Simple" mode, and when it asked about "Do you have an iPhone contract that would activate normally thru iTunes?", I answered NO.

I will try it again thru Expert mode when I get a chance. Restoring to the Apple 3.1 ipsw does indeed restore phone service, so at least I can get my work done today. :)

OK, I screwed up the 3.1 JB process. Last night, I hit Restore instead of Option-Restore, and it upgraded to official 3.1. I am an AT&T customer, so unlock is not an issue for me. But after the official 3.1 update, I then Option-Restored to my custom 3.1 ipsw.

However, I can not connect to AT&T now. I get NO SERVICE. I have restored my custom ipsw a couple times now.

Can anyone help me get phone service back please?! Do I need to restore to Apple's 3.1 ipsw?

Does anyone have confirmation either way about 3.1 and tethering? Does the JB restore the ability to tether (specifically on an iPhone 3G without unlock, if that matters)?
