What planet are you on? Last time I checked, food, energy, housing, and fuel costs are up dramatically. When there are no wage increases to offset the increase in these basic commodities (no, I'm not talking about computers/cell phones/tvs), then we've all taken a pay cut.

So what? If it were my mother that were killed, I would gladly relive the entire thing in order to bring her killer or killers to justice. Life sucks sometimes, but kids are strong and resilient and they will survive.

Also, someone noted above that the children in question are her stepchildren, not her biological children. So we don't know what kind of relationship they had and in the end it doesn't really matter, does it? This isn't about them, although apparently you'd like it to be. This is about solving a murder and finding justice for the victim.

Your lack of compassion for this poor woman is truly sad. If you are a parent, I sincerely wish you never find yourself in a similar situation.

Agreed. Training only goes so far...pitbulls are unpredictable. Every news report I've ever read about a pitbull attack in which a person is injured includes a quote from the family that owned the dog, and it usually goes something like this: "Oh but Fido has always been such a good dog! We've never had any problem up until this incident..."

Kudos to the pitbull owner in this story. Shaking the other man's hand after he shot his pet says a lot about his character.
