I guess maybe hinting at the alternate timelines could be considered a spoiler? But yeah, the rest of it was vague enough not to really spoil anything. Anyone who watches the show could have figured out it was about Lost within the first panel and stopped reading, but you would have to have seen the episode to understand what is was referring to specifically.

I would actually suggest that you only watch Heroes up to the second-to-last episode of season 1. Instead of watching the finale, just try to think of something that isn't completely anticlimactic.

Hmm, xkcd ran a bacon-themed comic last Friday. Coincidence? Or did that comic lead you to the glorious revelation that you can indeed cook bacon anytime you want, and you haven't been able to think about, much less eat, anything but bacon ever since?

I'm currently in Japan, where bacon does not exist. They have something that they call bacon, but it is in fact a mockery of bacon. It is to bacon what Mystic Quest was to Final Fantasy VI.

Haha, yeah those are all from the courtroom episode. That whole short-lived series was good but that episode was hands-down the best one. I guess that's what intoxicated the ABC execs to air it first, then follow up with the ONLY episode in the series that didn't make sense if you didn't watch the actual pilot. God I hate TV execs...

Well if you're going down that road, I think Family Guy peaked much quicker than Simpsons did and Shearer's baritone is sexier than McFarlane's. So THERE!

No really I agree with you 100% about the Simpsons. I pretty much stopped watching it when Futurama started. But Shearer still has a lot of talent to be able to voice all of those characters on a single show and make them distinct enough so that it isn't obvious that it's the same person.

Family Guy has in common with South Park that it seems like everyone on the show who isn't one of the main characters is MacFarlane (or Parker, respectively) doing the exact same voice. His voices on American Dad weren't very distinct either - they all sound like Seth McFarlane doing a weird German accent or Seth McFarlane doing sort of a 1950's propaganda film voice. He does what he does great, but I just don't think he has as much range as some today's better voice actors (and I would include Shearer in that list).

Just my two cents.
