you're right! he was cher that year..huh.. i hate people that try to rationalize away mistakes made by the makers...BUT... ;) maybe it was halloween season 2 or later, since ted had given up on the slutty pumpkin in season one. that'd be cool, i think.
aaaand another thhing: barney the violinist is great ;)

sorry i keep posting -- but i just remembered the last thing i loved (promise ;) ) : the comparison betwenn missy the goat and her washcloth and ted and architecture..

ps: and this one had THE BEST first scene, i love that moment between ted and barney. it's so sentimental (they're friendship needed that in my opinion, it's often displayed as too shallow, i think, especially compared to ted/marshall) yet soo funny with the "..because i explained to you" :)

oh and also, i love how both the girls joked about their being pregnant when in reality they were as we all know. overall, i really like how the writers have worked in the pregnancies and the resulting bellies and kept joking about it

this is a great recap. and i LOVED the episode!! loved all the callbacks of old stuff, i.e.

1) the slutty pumpkin (noticed her the first time around too ;) )
2) "i can jump that far" (from that episode where ted says "there are three mistakes uncle marshall likes to say he made in his life.." and it flashes back to him as a kid, saying "i can jump that far")
3) "The Leap" - love how they worked in the pilot right there where ted says he's gonna take the leap like the jumper on the bridge couldn't
4) "Murder Train" - how awesome is it that they keep bringing this thing back!!
5) mosbying somebody has got to be the meanest and funniest way to get rid of somebody..at least when you actually call it mosbying!
6) the goat..what's not to love? Missy was perfect and especially the fight and the "baaah means baaaah"

the marshall-can't-jump was dragged out a little to long for my taste, plus i found the robarn stuff a litlle over the top but, hey, wouldn't know what else they could've done, it's a tough one. this was just an AMAZING episode. and i'm gonna watch it again right now :)
