Does it matter if the book is set in the country or written by someone from that country? Here are two of my recent favorites, both are non-fiction and quick reads: Little Princes by Conor Grennan (Nepal) and Radio Shangri-La by Lisa Napoli (Bhutan).

I've been keeping a map of where I read this year so feel free to check it out if that helps, a bunch of my books are set outside the US: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&...

I wonder if the getting paid to write reviews will make "people" claim the reviews aren't fair and unbiased. Of course, most "professional" reviewers are paid, but somehow that may not translate. Cool idea!

I tried reading this one years ago and just couldn't get through it. It has always been in the back of my mind to try reading it again so thank you for the reminder!

Wow! Such a personal connection to Henrietta! That must make the book all the more interesting. I have this on my kindle and hope to read it over spring break

Happy 4th Birthday! You were obviously at the forefront of book blogging so my question is the same as someone else's: What got you to start a book blog in the first place?

I was just at Verizon yesterday contemplating the new iPhone (mine is ready for an upgrade in July). I'd love to hear what you think of the iPhone in a couple months after using it for a while
