You cannot ask for respect for opinions and ideas, because those opinions and ideas can be wrong. That is how authoritarianism starts. If PAS is interested in a free society it needs to accept that.

Umm no. Government should stay out of the relationship between parents and their adult children. What you're going to end up with is people who take care of their parents only because it's required by the law. That will not end well.

If they want to publicise that they have received a scholarship that
choice _must_ be up to the individual him/herself, and not arbitrarily
made for them by someone else. That is a violation of privacy.

I have no objection to anonymised data based on race, religion, and maybe SPM results being released. But names? There is no need for that.

I disagree. What is the point of publishing the kids' names? Why should their privacy be violated? It's not like they did anything wrong.
