well in my case I have a 3gs and I can not use Blacksn0w with 05.11.07, the phone will stay in apple logo in a bootloop, but i did use the other tool s n 0 w b r e e z e, mayme with the DEV TEAM tool is different, If I am you I will give a Try it.

My phone 3gs came with 05.11.07 with 3.1, I was force to use Blacksn0w.

If you use blacksn0w, stay at 3.1.2, but if you still want to update please let us know if thw unlock work, beacuse as soon I install the unlock software, my phone stay in a bootloop, when back to 3.1.2.

Blacksn0w is not working with 3.1.3, do not update.....stay away until a new version of blacksn0w be released.

You can use, but if you are the same like me and use Blacksn0w is better to stay in 3.1.2, because blacksn0w is not working in 3.1.3, unless Geohot port this version to 3.1.3 in a new release RC2.

Yes, normaly apple will start to sell the new version in aprox. March 2010.
