I think this is a bit off. Russia handled Ukraine perfectly. They took what they wanted (Crimea). The used Eastern Ukraine as a buffer and developed a proxy army but left the rest of the basket case that is Ukraine in US hands. It is perfect. In Georgia Russia handled it the same way. Smaked down US plans and strengthened the autotomy of the break away regions. Perfect. Chechnya Russia proved it can handle the West's Jihadi army. Syria.... they proved it a second time.
russia is in a very good position right now. If they weren't successful the 2 minutes hate on US TV wouldnt be played over and over again multiple times a day. That is how you truly know how well the Russians are clogging up the empire's plans.

That was a theme in Crime and Punishment...The lead character wanted to commit murder (without it effecting his conscience) so he could prove he had greatness in him like Barack or GWB. But he couldn't handle it and he wound up in jail. No US presidency for him.

ummmm...not really duncan. Name one US president ever admitting a role in the overthrow. It is old news and I think some lower level poltiical leaders have admitted it but never a US president. I think Obama deserves a bit of praise for trying to spell out a different foreign policy direction that will be more peaceful. Will that actually happen? I am very skeptical about that but I think Obama is going to try and steer a different course...meaning I think War with Iran is off the table. I think after Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan Obama has had enough. LOL. I could be wrong though. Jason...One complaint.... "In the 30 years since the revolution, the US and Iran have had a hostile relationship"...that is the US Propagana line again. The US and Iran have had hostile relations since 1953. Because we supported a brutal dictator who did our bidding does not mean we had good relations with Iran...Iran being the people who live there of course.

The only way Obama can get them to do what they want is to cut off their welfare checks which will have AIPAC and the best congress money can buy screaming bloody murder. The last US president to do such a thing was Bush SR. and he didn't care because he didn't have the jewish vote or the NYTs support anyways. He was a one term president though! Obama is being boxed into a corner also. He either has to fight them head on or back off and look like a wet noodle. He is screwed because it is clear to me he wants to appear tough on Israel but Israel is not playing along. So is it going to be the wet noodle? I do recognize that Bibi is in a bit of a pickle too. Pat is correct about that. Bibi brings his government down if he accepts Obama's demands. Bibi will not do that. So he has to bet that Obama will blink.

LOL...talk about deja vu! This song and dance quit during the Bush years because Bush let them do whatever they wanted. Now we have reconstructed the old appease the liberal democrats strategy! The only thing I can say about this is Mrs. Clinton will not be fooled. The only good thing about a Clinton being in office. The Likudniks are clearly not going along with Obama's plans...they are clearly used to being the tail that wags the dog. Obama is being boxed into a corner here. He either has to fight them head on or back off and look like a wet noodle. Israeli response.....
The government officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to go beyond the formal response, said that instead of halting all settlement activity, Israel planned to take down 22 unauthorized settlement outposts in the West Bank in the coming weeks.
That balancing act — taking down outposts while pressing ahead with so-called "natural growth" construction in the settlements — is not likely to go over well in Washington.....
