My son made the same decision 9 years ago; after graduating from college, he left his job to enlist in the Marine Corps..he went on to deployments to both Afghanistan and Iraq, and served his country and The Corps for 5 years. I did not serve: he is my hero, and so are any of the remarkable young men and women who give prime years of their youth to keep us all safe. If he does go, may God keep him safe, and thank you for raising a wonderful son.
