I have to agree with bwjunior. My jaw literally dropped at her words (paraphrased): "I am disgusted at the intolerance of some people." Huh?!
I begrudgingly admit that she is charismatic and fairly well-spoken. It's a shame that it's just empty rhetoric.... and I fear Bill might be right in his above prediction.

My thoughts are along the lines of Broadsnark's. It's not that I'm simply not sociable; it's that I'm actively unsociable. (All three of your points ring true for me, by the way.)
Mostly, I'm repelled by the herd mentality that accompanies any organized group, be it religion, a sport, or a club.

I was raised vaguely Protestant, with one devout parent and one who was apathetic toward religion. As previous posters noted, the topic of religion isn't exactly first-date conversation... but I will note that every guy I've dated since the age of 18 has been atheist. I guess that's what happens when you don't go looking for a mate at church, but instead seek certain qualities: intelligence, humor, and a mutual belief in gender equality.
My husband and I had a Celtic/pagan wedding, performed by a minister (to appease the parents), at a private location (not a church). __We had been married a few years before I realized I might not be Christian__, or really considered that beliefs could or should be reevaluated now and then. For a few years, I straddled the fence between Protestant and agnosticism, and in more recent years, between agnosticism and atheism.
The thing is, even when I claimed Christianity, I felt strongly opposed to organized religion. __It took marrying and having children with an atheist for me to have any reason to evaluate my beliefs...__ and I will admit that, down here in the bible belt, I breathe a sigh of relief whenever I stumble across folks who are agnostic or atheist, because I know they won't try to convert me to anything.
Looking back, I agree that organized religion is closely tied to the oppression of women throughout history (but not only women). I also believe that - regardless of personal beliefs - we do live in a Judeo-Christian society... and that the sexist beliefs that have carried over from the various denominations would continue for some time, even if the whole nation woke up atheist tomorrow.
