I found them at Kitchen Stuff Plus, believe it or not! I think Ikea carries them too :)

Good luck!

You know the best part?

She wrote back a couple of days later! She filled me in on how she learned about my family and asked to keep in touch :)

Cool! I always think it's good to have a plan for these sorts of things.

I also pick a few charities that I believe in and give them something every year. Not necessarily during this season, but at some point throughout the year. I don't however give to religious organizations such as the Salvation Army. I know they help people, but they also force their religion onto the people in need and won't help LGBT or folks of other religions.

What charities do you donate to, and why? I always love hearing people's stories :)

Hmm, I didn't see thyme in that list! It's a good one to have as well. I also would include cloves, they are wonderful in a lot of sweet dishes and can work in savoury too. I like them with cinnamon & nutmeg, and they go great with things like pineapple & ham.

And chili powder for your chili! heheheh

Kosher or sea salt plus freshly ground peppercorns are also good go-to's.

Yeah Kim, I hear ya. I haven't been super please with their aftercare either. It's been almost a year and I've only lost about 15lbs. I think I may finally be at my sweet spot, but there hasn't been any kind of rapid loss like I thought there would be. I'm pretty frustrated.

Are you sure it's the band that is slipping and not your port that keeps flipping? That is the more common issue. Ask them to sew it in place this time!

Mine shifted around a lot but it's settled down now -- at least the nurses can access it.

There are definitely other bad stories out there. I heard them even at the official Slimband meetup in the summer. Lots of us aren't losing (they don't tell you this but the average loss is only 17lbs. Women like Nikki and the gals in the ads are the exceptional cases) and some have even needed to get their entire bands replaced more than once!

I don't think there's a perfect solution though. Even if I got the band somewhere else it would probably be the same situation.

Best of luck with yours, feel free to drop me a line anytime!

Yay! I am so glad you've got it figured out now! Finally you can take some action, one way or another! I think the mystery of what was hurting you was the hardest.

Also, Lino married you for YOU. Not for your baby-making skills. I can't see him deserting you because you're not fertile. That is ridiculous in this day and age. Have some faith in his love for you!

You've both been through some really tough times together, and I think that speaks volumes as to how dedicated to you he is. Give him the benefit of the doubt.

*hugs*

No kidding. It's situations like this that make me glad that 1. I work for Airbnb who believe in actually being nice to customers and 2. Run my own company where I can be sure that people are treated right.

I never did get a response from Rogers. Really makes me feel important, you know?
