Gaiuscaprica - I too find it unsettling that Joe Wilson’s disrespectful outburst to the President was over illegal immigrants' healthcare. Why DIDN'T he show this kind of opposition when Bush said “Iraq has weapons of mass destruction”, or “we are wining the war on terrorism,” or “the USA does not torture prisoners?” Shouldn’t he have passionately objected to SOMETHING regarding Hurricane Katrina, or high gas prices, or home foreclosures or economic bailouts? Yet, no one disrespected Bush. Thank God our President gracefully accepted Wilson’s apology. If it were me, I’d have Wilson tortured at Abu Ghraib. At least Kanye had the excuse of being drunk, and had the decency to apologize every chance he got!
