That's partly true. If you submitted your signed files to saurik's servers, you can downgrade :)

If you didn't, well... Too bad. The above post is true for you, but eventually you'll be able to jailbreak, and I hope you will take better precautions next time!

Pwned means to be jailbroken, but using the Dev Team's software, like Redsn0w and PwnageTool.

You won't be able to unlock, because you upgraded your 3GS to 3.1, and it's baseband (read the blog post to understand what it is) isn't unlockable as of this moment. I know that the Dev-Team is working hard to make a permanent unlock for the 3G/(S), and we only have to wait, help if we can, and be grateful. :D

Don't hesitate to ask if you have another question!

If your signed files are on saurik's server, you can do that. If you didn't submit them there, then no.

Oh, I assumed you hadn't updated... do you have your iBSS and iBEC files? You need them to be able to jailbreak when redsn0w comes out.

You can't jailbreak right now because you upgraded to 3.1 before you should have.

So you must wait for redsn0w to come out. Sorry.

Of course! This is a post about the jailbreak, because ultrasn0w is a completely different thing.

Now you only have to wait for TPB to come up again :D

This is a jailbreak AND a unlock for people on 3.0's baseband, but on 3.1 firmware.

OK. I'll let you know when I restore.

Thanks!

I restore from a backup...

I'll try to set up as new, and I'll post the results later.

Whenever I respring my iPod Touch 1st Gen, apps will not launch. When you tap on them they go darker for a second and then... nothing. Syncing my iPod with my computer fixes the problem temporarily.
I can access my music through SBSettings (iPod toggle), but it basically becomes an incredibly expensive iPod Shuffle until I reSync.
The "More" button on SBSettings also does not function, because it runs an App.

Restoring the iPod doesn't do anything (I've already tried), so I don't have any idea why this happens or how can I solve it...

Please help me!!

Thanks in advance!
