I am 100% in agreement with you. But as I said before we are directing too much of our attention at the banks and not at the government. It was the government who insisted that the banks take on people who could not pay for their houses and made the requirements for a loan so low that even a baby could get a house. I don't mind congress draping up the CEO's who are giving themselves big bonuses when their banks are going down. But if we are going to be fair, we should also chastise Congress who just voted to give themselves a raise after they helped to get us in this financial mess.

I see your point and I think you are perfectly right. The only thing I disagree with is that it was not the banks who came to the government for help but the government coming to the bank and offering help. When Bush signed that $700 billion package, the banks had never asked for any money before. It was not until all the companies on Wall Street saw that the government was handing out free checks for their irresponsibility that they all went up to Congress clamoring for the free dough.

Here is the idea. Barack Obama and the US Congress should not have put a single dime into any financial institution for that matter. The goverment messed up the system and now they are trying to fix it. As I said in the post above. The day that old man Barack is able to tell a CEO how much he/she can work is the day he can also tell any worker of that company how much they should be making. Remember it was the same thing that happened with the school lunch program. Once you start taking money from the goverment or the goverment forces money on you is the day you do not have a say in how your institution runs.
