Antiwar.com Original Articles : End the Korean War

Staying in Korea to deter the north from using nukes on the south is ridiculous. We don't have to be in country to deter the north, they know they are gone if they nuke the south whether we are garrisoned there or not.

Antiwar.com Original Articles : Neocons Get Warm and Fuzzy Over 'War President'

kagan talks of bush not having enough troops to do the job until he "surged". Yet we had just as many troops in Iraq in 2005 as we did after the surge. We hadn't bought off the sunnis as of yet and the neighborhoods hadn't been cleansed, Otherwise the surge would never had "worked". Still waiting for that reconciliation thing to happen which the surge was suppose to be all about.

I can't help but think where we would be if mccain had won. Any escalation would have been met with outrage from those who support obama's. On the other hand the old senile one would probably have started bomb bomb bomb....bombing Iran by now and we'd be knee deep in WWIII. I wish I could think how things woud be if Ron Paul had won. Not in this country.

Antiwar.com Original Articles : Obama's Afghan Plan Has Something for Everyone... to Hate

Handing authority over to the Afghan govt is laughable. It's like everyone forgot that the Afghan govt is only shaded out by Somalia as the most corrupt. Yeah, lets build that security force up even though the Afghan economy could never afford it. What a god damn joke. And has john mccain ever met a war he didn't like?

What was the choice? mccain and hillary are more hawkish. Forget 3rd party, that ain't never happening. So it was a choice of how much escalation more than naivete. Maybe a little naive in thinking the dude was too smart for this shit and might see the light.

Orlanator: I was talking more on a local level. I personally have had to make severe concessions this past year. Whatever handouts obama has given out haven't hit my area unless you talk about the money my corporation used doing some government jobs at our r&d center while our union was making said concessions. I was bitching about the constant implication that unions are somehow evil in the authors eyes.

As a Union member for 26 years, I see none of the so called handouts the obama administration is supposedly giving us. Or maybe you talk of the Union's corrupt leadership? Try to distinguish because it pisses me off that you continue to bash Unions as if the working man shouldn't unite to get his fair share. Try reigning in the corrupt coporations that make Unions a neccessity.

So any crime that involves training, logistics, intelligence and money should be considered to be an act of war because the military operates similarly? Maybe we can try mob bosses in a military tribunal.
