Would the government actually start taxing stuff online? Otherwise, that's the loophole. Order everything online that you can. What if you ordered stuff from foreign websites with cheap shipping? The US wouldn't have control over taxes on those sites.
Yes, I know technically you are supposed to report purchases made online at the end of the year, but who actually does that?

I did a research paper in high school about how the death penalty costs more than life imprisonment. So, I agree that it is foolish to have it.
Also, disagreeing with the death penalty on economic grounds allows me to avoid the morality debate.
